2009 Weaver Park Back to School Fun Day

Each year just before school starts back, the Recreation Department hosts a Back to School Fun Day at Weaver Park.  This is an event for families to enjoy before starting the new school year.

 In 2009 the event grew.   With a grant from WalMart and co-sponsorship with Families, Youth and Children’s Alliance the event expanded from fun activities (an obstacle course, slide and games) to also include a hotdog lunch for the families and children also received a small starter bag of school supplies.
