Soccer
offers two seasons for children to participate, fall and
spring. Players may play in one or both seasons. Spring
registration is usually in late January and Fall
registration is usually in late July. Registration is
required for each season.
The
Thomaston Upson soccer program is managed by the Upson
Soccer Association. This group of dedicated volunteers
provide support for registration, league scheduling and
management, coach’s training and facility management. |

Soccer age divisions are U6 (muppets), U8
and U10. These leagues are made up teams from Upson and
play their games at home at the Upson Soccer Complex
(located behind Civic Center.) Ages U12 and above play
games both at home and travel. |

Practices for soccer may be held at various
locations, such as: Old Atwater School, Southview, ULES,
National Guard Armory, Silvertown, Old Worthy School, and
at the Water Tank. |
| Traditionally, teams will be drafted approximately one
week after registration. Teams will practice for 2-3
weeks and then the season begins. |

UPSON ADULT SOCCER LEAGUE
Fall of 2008, the Upson Soccer Association offered adult
soccer league. Games are played at soccer complex on
Sunday
afternoons. Fall 2008 game schedule is posted. For
more information contact Jared Huckaby or the Civic Center.
