THOMASTON UPSON COUNTY SKATE PARK

Rules and Guidelines

 

 

 1.        This is a SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK FACILITY.  Know your own abilities and skate within them.  When you enter this facility you assume all risks and responsibilities that are inherent to extreme sports activities which could result in harm to yourself, others and property.  Skateboarding and skating can be hazardous recreational activities and can cause serious injury.

 

 2.            Thomaston Upson County Skate Park is open to skateboards and in-line skates.  NO BIKES ALLOWED.

 

 3.        DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY IF HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS EXIST, SUCH AS RAIN, SNOW, ICE, OR DARKNESS.

 

 4.            PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED:  including helmet and pads.

 

 5.        NO FOOD, DRINK, SMOKING, PROFANITY OR SITTING allowed inside skate park.

 

 6.            Spectators must watch from outside park area.  This means outside the fence.

 

 7.        NO ADDITIONAL OBSTACLES or other materials (ramps/jumps) may be brought into skate area.

 

 8.            Skaters are responsible for inspecting equipment prior to use to ensure that it has not been vandalized and is safe for skating.  DO NOT USE EQUIPMENT IF BROKEN OR WET.

 

 9.            Skaters will report any unusual significant hazard behavior/activities or damages to park immediately to nearest Recreation Staff member.

 

10.       Skate Park closes at dark and will be locked when not open to public.  Anyone who enters the park when the gates are locked will be trespassing and can be prosecuted under Georgia Code 16-7-21.

 

11.            Violators of the above rules and guidelines may be excluded, expelled and banned from Thomaston Upson County Recreation property.
