2009 Flag Football Rules

1. Two(2), eighteen minute halves—Halftime will be five(5) minutes.

2. Home team will get 1^st possession.

3. Officials may stop the clock at their discretion. Officials will keep the clock on the field with a Stop Watch.

4. There will be no kickoffs. Opening possession will start on the 20 yd. Line of the offensive team.

5. SCORE WILL NOT BE KEPT.

1. Each team will consist of 10 or 11 players.

2. When a player fumbles, the ball is dead, and marked where the ball was fumbled.

3. Substitutions may be made on any dead ball.

4. Absolutely, no laterals or pitches of any kind.

5. No diving allowed.

6. Only, direct handoffs behind the line of scrimmage are permitted. The offense may use multiple handoffs.

7. All players must play at least half of the game.

1. All players are eligible to receive passes. This includes the quarterback, if he/she has handed off to another back behind the line of scrimmage.

2. All passes must be forward and received beyond the line of scrimmage.

3. Interceptions may be advanced.

1. Shield Blocking is the only type blocking allowed.

2. Punting will not be allowed.

3. All players who rush the quarterback must be a minimum of 3 yards from the line of scrimmage, when the ball is snapped.

4. Trash talking is illegal.

5. Foul play will not be tolerated.
