Staff, I would like to welcome you to our web site. The
Thomaston-Upson Recreation Department is a jointly funded
project by the County of Upson and the City of Thomaston.
Our offices are
located in the Thomaston-Upson County Civic Center at
101 Civic Center Drive, Thomaston, Georgia. Our staff is
dedicated to providing premium leisure services for the citizens
of Thomaston-Upson County.
The Thomaston-Upson Recreation Commission provides program
guidance for our department. Recreation Commission members are
appointed by City Council and County Commission.
Our department maintains numerous community parks and
recreational facilities including the Civic Center, pool and ball fields.
We offer athletic and instructional programs for both youth and
adults. Please visit the various pages of this web site to
learn more about specific programs.
Our department’s goal is to offer programs, classes, and
activities to enrich and enhance the quality of life for our
